This comprehensive literature review comes at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, since the<br/>impact of the measures taken to contain its contagion will have increased intimate partner<br/>violence (IPV) cases throughout the world. With the movement restrictions, curfews and other<br/>measures to fight the pandemic, the solution was the remote interventions. The aim of this<br/>review was to provide a picture of the existing efficacy studies about online interventions with<br/>IPV victims. Following PRISMA guidelines, the studies were collected through a manual<br/>search and in electronic databases: EBSCOhost, PubMed, and Web of Science. Of the 1254<br/>articles, 8 published between 2010 and 2020 were considered eligible for inclusion. The<br/>results point to the fact that safety decision aid was the most used type of intervention,<br/>corresponding to six of the articles, and, of the remaining ones, one was a law intervention<br/>and the other was a cognitive-behavioural intervention. It was possible to verify that the<br/>studies reported significant improvements in mental health, in conflict resolution of safety<br/>decision, safety strategies, and a decrease in IPV. It can be concluded that online interventions<br/>seem to be effective for IPV victims |
